UPDATED 5/13/2022 – The deadline for the 2022 Arts & Cultural Organization Pool Request for Qualifications has been extended to Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 5:00 pm (PDT).
Arts and cultural organizations are invited to submit qualifications for Metro Art’s 2022 Arts & Cultural Organization Pool. Organizations must complete the online submittal by Wednesday, June 1, 2022 Wednesday, June 15, 2022 Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 5:00 pm Pacific time.
The Call to Arts and Cultural Organizations builds on the Metro Art program’s long history of collaborating with community-based organizations in support of innovative, community-responsive arts and cultural programming for transit.

- Mobile Mural Lab & MOCA Teen Program collaborate on neighborhood research & artwork design for construction banner murals
- JACCC hosted Crochet Jam with artist Clare Rojas led by artist Ramekon O’Arwisters Photo: Scott Oshima
- Cultural asset mapping art activity for the Westside Purple (D Line) Extension hosted by the Craft Contemporary Museum
- Pieter Performance Space with Metro Art Presents organized Moving Through, an online dance series for healing in 2021
- Music & movement workshops for all ages by The Floor Improv for Metro Art Presents
- Independent Shakespeare Co. performs “Romeo and Juliet” on the Metro L Line (Gold) for a Metro Art Moves Valentine’s Day Tour
- ArtworxLA & Inglewood High School students map community cultural assets & design artwork for temporary construction banners
- Los Angeles Filmforum x Metro Art Presents screening of the jazz film “Passing Through” on Union Station’s North Patio
- Working with 5 artists who mentored youth, LA Commons led the creation of temporary light pole banners in Leimert Park for E Line (Expo)
- KAOS Network, Community Build, Crenshaw High School Art Dept & the World Stage also collaborated on the E Line (Expo) banners
- Japanese American National Museum, artist Edwin Ushiro & young artists from Boyle Heights High School created temporary banner murals

Submit to the Metro Art 2022 Arts & Cultural Organization Pool online Organizations by
Wednesday 6/1/2022Wednesday 6/15/2022 at 5:00 pm PDT
Organizations that meet the eligibility criteria in the Request for Qualifications and successfully submit to the Pool will be considered for a range of future opportunities with Metro Art.
Anticipated opportunities include cultural programming, creative community engagement, cultural asset mapping, exhibition planning, educational and interpretive programs for people of all ages, tours, special events, community-specific arts related data collection and analysis, and artwork commissions.
Interested in learning more? Metro Art will host an online information session for applicants on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 12:00 pm (PDT). The session will also be recorded and archived at metro.net/artsorgpool. Organizations are encouraged to sign up for the information session on Eventbrite or watch it online after the workshop.
