The above pics were taken over the last few weeks as the Crenshaw/LAX Line continues to take shape. The photos run from south to north on the 8.5-mile route that will include eight stations. A ninth station will be added later at 96th Street where riders from the Crenshaw/LAX Line and Green Line can transfer to the LAX people mover that will serve the airport terminals.
The project is forecast to open in fall 2019 and is funded largely by the Measure R sales tax approved by L.A. County voters in 2008. A ninth station will be added later at 96th Street where riders from the Crenshaw/LAX Line and Green Line can transfer to the LAX people mover that will serve the airport terminals.
Here’s the project home page and more pics from May are in this Flickr album. Below is a map of the project:

Steve,
Do you know the percentage of completion we’re at now? Guessing about 68-69 percent… Curious, NB

Will the crenshaw at-grade have crossing gates?
No. The section through Park Mesa Heights will be “street running” similar to parts of the the Expo Line and Gold Line — in which train movements are controlled by traffic signals.
